NOAD Workbook 7.8.2 and Picklist Updates -- 60 Day Notice

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance maritime domain awareness, we continue to improve handling of essential data contained within Notices of Arrival and Departure (NOAD). Tentatively, on Thursday, 7 July 2024, a new workbook (7.8.2) and picklist updates will be released. The picklist updates will affect countries and foreign port entries are fully outlined below. Additionally, the new workbook will support these picklist updates.

Country_List.xml
The following country rename will take effect:

LIBYAN ARAB JAMAHIRIYA will be renamed to LIBYA

The following country entries will no longer be accepted as a country entry and will only be available as US states.

• Guam
• NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS
• VIRGIN ISLANDS, U.S.
• Puerto Rico
• American Samoa
• UNITED STATES MINOR OUTLYING ISLANDS

Foreign_Port_List.xml
The following foreign port entries will no longer be accepted as a foreign port and will only be available as domestic US ports.
