Workbook 7.7.2 Released and Other UpdatesIndicator

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance maritime domain awareness, we continue to improve handling of essential data contained within Notices of Arrival and Departure (NOAD). 13 November 2021 a new workbook (7.7.2) will be released. This release includes picklist changes and business rule changes.

Please note that while every effort is being made to ensure all information is accurate as of this posting, there exists the possibility for additional changes as needed or at the direction of the program office. Any such changes or additions will be made available as soon as they are provided to or identified by the NOAD team.

Changes to new Workbook (7.7.2) compared to previous Workbook (7.7.1):
● Added 2 entries to Cargo and CDC List "UN Number - Proper Shipping Name":
o “UN1408 - Ferrosilicon with 30 percent or more but less than 90 percent silicon”
o “UN1230 - Methanol”
● On the Cargo tab, changed the label “In Ballast” to “In Ballast/No Cargo”

eNOAD Website Change Details
● On the Cargo tab, changed the label “In Ballast” to “In Ballast/No Cargo”
● Cargo rules have been changed to no longer block a General Cargo Description from being entered when “In Ballast/No Cargo” is checked. General Cargo Description will be required when "In Ballast/No Cargo" is unchecked and CDC entries are not entered.
● On the Crew details screens, the Embark date for the individuals must be before the notice arrival date when the notice type = “Arrival”. The Embark date must be before the “Departure Date” when the notice type = “Departure”.
● On the Menu, the bottom section order has been changed to: Submit NOAD, Printable Version, Submission Receipts, Cancel NOAD.

Business Validation Rule Changes Include:
● Cargo rules have been changed:
o Having General Cargo Details entered when “In Ballast/No Cargo” is “Yes” will no longer cause a business rule warning.
o If CARGO | GENERAL_DESC is nil or empty, IN_BALLAST is “No” and there are no entries in CDC_LIST, then the submission will be rejected with a business rule error “General Cargo Description not provided”.
● Additional rules have been added to Crew/Non-Crew concerning Embark dates:
o CREW | EMBARK_DATE must be before ARRIVE_DEPART | ARRIVE | ARRIVE_DT when the NOTICE_DETAILS | NOTICE_TYPE = “Arrival”.
o CREW | EMBARK_DATE must be before ARRIVE_DEPART | DEPART | DEPART_DTthe Notice DEPART_DT when the NOTICE_DETAILS | NOTICE_TYPENOTICE_TYPE = “Departure”
o NONCREW | EMBARK_DATE - The value shall must be before ARRIVE_DEPART|DEPART|DEPART_DTthe Notice DEPART_DT when the NOTICE_DETAILS | NOTICE_TYPENOTICE_TYPE = “Departure”.

Picklist XML Changes

UN_Number_List has the following additions:

UN_Number: UN1408
Proper_Shipping_Name: Ferrosilicon with 30 percent or more but less than 90 percent silicon
UN_Number_Label: UN1408 - Ferrosilicon with 30 percent or more but less than 90 percent silicon

UN_Number: UN1230
Proper_Shipping_Name: Methanol
UN_Number_Label: UN1230 - Methanol
